Alpine Welcomes Susan CoetzeeAlpine would like to welcome our newest team member, Susan Coetzee, who works as the Office Coordinator for our Westside clinic. Susan brings several years of administrative experience to Alpine and brings a high level of enthusiasm and dedication to meet our clients’ needs. She enjoys learning about people’s lives and interests and feels that everyone has a story, be it funny, sad or a little heartfelt and loves that people are so open to talking about life. Susan moved to Bend from Hawaii 5 years ago to seek out a slower pace of life. She says moving away from the ocean and sunshine was a big adjustment, but is learning to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and snow just as much. The thing she likes most about our community is it’s small enough where you know people at the grocery store and bank, but large enough to have good restaurants and stores. “I love that it only takes me 15 minutes to drive everywhere,” she says. Susan studied abroad in France her junior year of college, earning a degree in French. Upon graduating college, her first job offer was at Club Med in Cancun, Mexico as a water ski instructor. As enticing as that opportunity was, she turned it down so she could continue to date her then boyfriend, who ended up her husband. Susan has been married now for 17 years and has two boys ages 11 and 13. They recently purchased a “fixer upper” and spend their time working on home and yard projects or attending sporting events for one of the boys.
