Starting a new fitness routine after a back injury (or any injury, for that matter) can be a daunting task. Yoga is a wonderful restorative practice for people who are experiencing chronic pain or bouncing back from injury and/or surgery.

Alpine Yoga is perfect for beginners and seasoned yogis alike. Alpine Yoga is designed as a slow flow vinyasa sequence that takes time to create a foundation for each posture, build strength, improve balance and flexibility, and quiet the mind. Special attention is paid to the spine, shoulders and hips.

Taught by fitness specialist and yoga instructor Caitlin Holzhouser, Alpine Yoga is great for everyone–injured or not. Participants need to be able to stand up from a seated floor position without assistance.

Alpine Yoga meets at our westside location every Thursday evening, 5:30 pm. Cost: $10/session.
